Based in Biel/Bienne, the heart of the Swiss watch industry, Formex designs, develops, and sells watches directly to consumers and through a carefully selected network of retail partners worldwide.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take ownership of evaluating/benchmarking, selecting, and implementing a new ERP system for Formex. You will work closely with all departments to analyse existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure the successful rollout of a scalable ERP solution that supports the company’s future growth.

This is a highly operational role requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Strategy & Selection

  • Analyse existing business processes and system landscape
  • Research, benchmark, and evaluate ERP solutions such as Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, and other suitable platforms
  • Prepare recommendations and business cases for management
  • Coordinate discussions with software vendors and implementation partners

ERP Implementation

  • Lead the ERP implementation project from selection to go-live
  • Define requirements together with key stakeholders across the business
  • Coordinate external consultants and implementation partners
  • Support testing, training, data migration, and change management activities
  • Ensure successful adoption of the new system throughout the organisation

Process Optimisation

  • Review and optimise operational workflows across departments
  • Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation
  • Develop scalable processes that support future growth
  • Create documentation and establish best practices

Your Profile

Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in ERP selection, implementation, or optimisation projects
  • Strong understanding of business processes across operations, finance, logistics, and sales
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, SAP, Business Central, or similar platforms
  • Hands-on project management experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical solutions

Languages

  • English: fluent
  • Additional languages are a plus

  • Hands-on personality who enjoys implementing solutions, not only planning them
  • Independent, proactive, and comfortable working directly with management
  • Strong communication skills and ability to drive change across the organisation
